I was reading another forum today. There were several folks on there talking about referral whores. I thought it was funny and then I really started thinking on the concept. I think there is a HUGE difference in advertising JUST so you get referrals and advertising because you believe that what you are advertising can actually help people earn. Take a matrix program...you get in, think it is pretty keen and has a viable product. Well, naturally you are going to want to advertise it. Do you have a plan in place to help those that come in after you or are you just getting them in to have referrals and help yourself?
Of course to qualify as a genuine, fully vested, lifetime warranty, no money back referral whore, you must consistently advertise programs with little value and with no regard to your referrals. YIKES. It's hard to move past that mentality, especially when you join one of the FUN programs. You know? The ones with very little product value and a short shelf life. Generally speaking, the FUN ones I join are part of a teambuild. That can at least assist folks with earning money. Even then, you gotta watch what team you join up with. Some RW's love to start teambuild after teambuild. Watch it. Not to say that all FUN ones are worthless either. Some DO offer a decent product and...well...they are fun and low stress. As long as you realize you are not going to make a fortune with them. No matter what the ads say. (:
Suffice to say, I am watching things more closely these days. Thus the reason I promote passive programs more often than not. I DO believe in those because they are working for me. For now. I have no crystal ball, so I don't know what the future brings for any of them. I just keep truckin' and learnin'. Just like you.
