Happy Holidays!

I just wanted to take a moment and wish all a very Happy Holiday! Whatever your beliefs may be and wherever you are in this crazy world, I wish you the best during this holiday season. I am glad we connected on the all-inclusive internet world!

Hope you've managed to stay away from the usual scam stuff that always comes our way this time of year. Looking forward to the possibilities of the New Year!

Build Your List with me!

Hi all. Ok, I had a new idea. Not sure if it is a crazy idea or a good idea, but here goes. I hear all the time that people have no idea how to build a list or are bad at recruiting. So I figured, why not start a Ning site for people who do not have the resources or knowhow to build a list with an autoresponder. Ning sites are super easy to work with. You join, add some people as friends and Voila! You now have people you can email your favorite opportunity to. You can be friends with anyone on the site, so you benefit from the people that others bring in as well. It really is THAT easy, so I am thinking this could be a real winner for people. Especially newer marketers with no established list. Take a peek and let me know what you think. Here is the link: First Alerts Ning site.

Make Your First Buck!

Ok, if you can't build this, you might just want to quit Internet Marketing. Well, that's the line that got my attention. And sure enough, this cute little matrix ought to be a cinch to build for some much needed play money. It's called MakeYourFirstBuck. It's a very simple 2x5 matrix that costs...you guessed it...5 bucks. So if you are tired of spending a lot of money on the big "hype" programs, give this one a try. It has a high conversion rate, so perfect for beginners. Take a couple of spots for a higher income and build from your top spot. Then, get off your duff and send out some solos. You'll be surprised at how easy this one is.

Nothing much else going on with me. I am taking it easy with new programs this month. Too much risk this time of year. I have a couple of good hyips, a few decent matrix programs and that is about it. Oh, a couple of cyclers. Cyclers seem to be the hot thing, but none of them are showing much lasting power. I think I'll be taking a break from them as well. It's all for fun, keep that in mind. At least with most of them.

Online Relationships

Gosh, it's been a bit since I posted anything. Perhaps that is a sign of my mood lately. Lot's of things running through my mind, not the least of which is the tentativeness of online relationships. If you've been around for a time, you know what I mean. You meet people through various forums, social networking sites etc...You sorta get accustomed to their face being around. Then Poof. They disappear. When that happens, I am often left wondering...did they die? Get arrested? Some relationships progress to the point that you have offline contact, so at least THEN you can figure it all out. Often that is not the case.
Then there are situations that arise causing you to wonder if you ever really knew a person at all or if they knew you. Sometimes one feels that the only reason people want to form a relationship is because they want something from you, ya know? If it is that easy to forgo a friendship, I guess it was never really a friendship at all. Do I sound cynical? Probably just stems from recent events where I have been surprised and saddened by people's behavior.

Ok, enough of that. I hope everyone is being very careful with new programs this time of year. The scams usually run rampant at the Holidays. I've dabbled in a few new things, but nothing that I would want my mother to join. Mostly just games. These are all games for the most part, I hope you know. Don't ever take this stuff to seriously. There are winners and losers in every online program, just like offline games. Just make sure you are not a sore loser when the time comes. Publicly acting like a sore loser is a great way to turn people off.

Found a nice little matrix program to tell you about. I'll probably post it tomorrow. No, it is not a huge money maker, but it is safe. We'll see how many folks I can get to play safe, most I know prefer high risk/high reward. Maybe there are a few sane folks out there. (:

New Revenue Share auto surf?

Well, this is a little different, but I think I like it. It's called Rollover-Ads. I signed up yesterday and it is a very smooth surf! Works a bit like Ad-Ventures did with the compounding and 50/50, but it is a daily pay! Really more like an autosurf. Just when I though there would be no autosurfs coming out this month. This came highly recommended by the admin of ExtremeSurfs. I gotta figure out the best strategy for this one as it is a bit unique!

From all the ads I have placed over the past weeks, I am still not sure I can inform anyone of the best venue. Close as I can tell it is a combination of all and consistent application. I was hoping that there would be one that would jump out, but no. I'll just keep on doing them all and see what happens.

Cyclers appear to be all the rage now. Funny how these things go around. First it's one thing, then another. Nothing ever stays the same. One thing I DO miss from the old days is a good ole teambuild. None of those seem to last anymore, people have no patience or tenacity. Too bad really.

In other news, it is a glorious day here! The dogs are happy to be out frolicking in the nice weather. Hope it holds on! I could get used to this.

TWR Power System

Hi guys,

Looking forward to the TWR Power System launch soon. This is one matrix that seems to have the potential to last. Hope everyone is ready to upgrade!!

Nothing too much to report. No new surfs to speak of. Kind of odd for this time of year too. Where did all the surf admins go??

Oh My!

I know, being busy is no good excuse for not writing in my blog. But since you asked, I will tell you what I have been up to. I signed up for an autoresponder service. Aweber was my pick. I actually signed up for it weeks ago, but had been sort of chicken about trying it. At long last, I managed to get it loaded and on to one of my sites. Now, if someone will click to join my mailing list, I will know if it works. (: Haven't put it on this blog yet as I already have an email set up for First Alerts. I probably will try to convert though. I wish I were more computer savvy, but learning every day. That is what it is all about, right?

In business news, nothing to exciting to report. My matrix program is doing very well. Here I was kicking myself for even thinking about doing a matrix type program, but....I like this one. I mentioned it before, but in case you missed it, it is called TWR Power System. Very impressed with the Admin so far. You can join for free and poke around for a few days. I think you might just like this.

New programs are popping up all over. Be very careful. This time of year is full of questionable opportunities. Do your homework before joining!! If you have questions, drop me a line. If I don't know the answer, I usually know someone who does.

Ok, I am off to do some more work.

Marketing tactics article-A good read!

Hi all,

Received this in my mail from the Desktop Lightning folks. I really like the article, makes sense and they express it well. Take a bit of time to read it.

TIP: Psychological Marketing Blunders Most People Make
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Contained within this article are 3 psychological
marketing tactics which have the power to totally
transform almost anyone's business...
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Have you ever sent out an "advertisement," and much to your
disappointment, received much less of a response than you
had hoped for?

Perhaps a little crash course in marketing psychology is
in order.

You see, there are several mistakes most people make due
to misunderstanding psychology, which result in their
ads simply not working.

What is "marketing," anyway? Here's a neat way to think
about it...

Marketing is actually programming peoples' brains with
your words!

That might sound a little bit harsh, but here's what I
mean.

When you write an advertisement, a web page, an email,
or a sales letter, the real reason you are choosing the
words you're choosing is because you want to influence
your reader's state of mind.

Specifically, most people want to write something that
will put the reader's mind into a state which is "ready
to buy" -- or "ready to sign up."

Now, the key idea here is that what you are trying to
do is use your words to get your readers to think
something.

If your marketing isn't achieving your desired result,
this can literally only mean one thing:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Your words are not causing your readers' minds to be
in the state that you thought they would!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

But how could that be?

You wrote out an advertisement so carefully. It even
looks like all those other ones out there.

Doesn't matter. It didn't work.

So, how do you get your readers to think what you want,
then?

Understanding psychology is the key. Because, if you
know how brains work, then you'll really know what to
write to influence them the way you want.

Of course, the field of psychology is huge -- you can
get a Ph.D. in it. But, here are 3 psychological tips
you can use to your advantage.

Be warned: Some of them may seem counterintuitive to
you. But, remember! Maybe you need to try something
counterintuitive.

After all, the techniques you thought were intuitive
haven't worked as well as you wanted, right?

If they had, then you probably wouldn't have read
this article!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
TIP #1: At all costs, avoid looking like an
advertisement.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

In this day and age, when people see something that
they know is an advertisement, they immediately
tune it out.

For proof of this, just look at your own behavior.

Would you spend your free time reading ads?

Probably not.

An advertisement is usually classified as something
whose sole purpose is to sell something.

So, the best way to avoid looking like this is to
actually give people some real information, for
free.

This way, what you wrote won't seem like an ad,
because it actually isn't one!

People will read it for your interesting info, and
then when it's time to talk about what you're
selling, they'll really listen, too.

Try it.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
TIP #2: At all costs, avoid looking like everyone
else.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Another thing which people completely tune out is
things which look just like everyone else's.

It's a shame -- we see so many people nowadays
advertising their sites in the *exact* same way.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS!
$$$$$$ MAKE $10,000 FAST!
THIS IS THE REAL DEAL, IT'S INCREDIBLE!
etc...

Nobody pays attention to things like this anymore.

Make sure you don't look like anyone else, and
you'll stand out.

You HAVE to stand out in order to succeed in
business.

Combine this with Tip #1 to come up with headlines
and email subject lines which really communicate
something interesting and meaningful.

Remember, you can bait people in to read your ad
with headlines and subject lines which convey
something people actually want to read, and then
later you can still sell them your product or
service!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
TIP #3: At all costs, avoid making huge promises
you know you can't keep. Don't hype.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

So many people nowadays make huge claims in their
marketing; like if you sign up for a certain site it
will make you $10,000 per week while you sleep.

This sort of thing is obviously not true, and everyone
knows it, even you!

So, when you do things like this it sets off major
red flags in peoples' heads, and they stop reading.

Another big one is promising people that a certain
website is the "best" or the "biggest," etc., when
it really isn't.

Of course, maybe I could send out an email about
Google saying that it's the "most powerful site" out
there, but people are tired of hearing all this
hype about every little site.

You might even believe that you just found the "best
site to come out in the last 10 years," but so many
people *have* worn out this promise that it holds
no weight anymore (see Tip #2).

This one can seem counterintuitive, since you might
think that you *should* say great things about your
website or product to get people to want it.

The problem is, this just isn't how psychology works.

Instead, you must give people real information so
that they actually pay attention, look different from
everyone else, and be draw people in more subtly.

Let your actual website or product make them say
"wow."

And if you're afraid that your actual website or
product won't make them say "wow," so you need to hype
it up in your marketing, then maybe you need to
re-evaluate, and figure out how to make whatever you're
selling powerful enough.

Good luck!

Yes I Can starts something new!

Woke up to something new from the Yes I Can folks...it is a Revenue Share 2x2 combo. I think I like the sounds of that. At least it is something different, right? Combination of a passive income and something for the crazy people as well. (: Check it out! It just launched, so if you are interested, now is the time. AdzCombo. I signed up for the deluxe...meaning I signed for the matrix position which also gets you a bit of it all, matrix and ad pacs. I think that is the way to go. Could be the next hot type thing!

Gotta run, but wanted to let you know about Adz.

Take care,

Anybody for an autosurf strategy?

I DO love autosurfs, just wish they would last longer. A friend and I were talking about strategies for investing in these. For those of you who may not be familiar with autosurfs, they are surf programs that pay you a % to surf so many sites for so many days. This generally has a very high ROI, so one has to be very careful here. They do not last long. Now, here is a strategy to think on. This of course presumes that an autosurf will last through two cycles. Crossing fingers on the ones I joined to do just that. See what you think.

Enter high roi surf for a short time, usually 12% for 12 doubles money in 1 month.
We will use $100 as example.

1st return in 12 days is $144, which is $44 profit.
Reinvest this $144 and this produces just a few dollars more than $200. So in 1 month you have doubled money.

Move on to next program.
For this to work we need high paying roi surf sites.
The best scenario is at this time to split the money placing $100 in 2 different programs.
If by chance 1 runs with the money you still have one active investment.
This factor is to reduce risk.

Let us do figures on an initial $20 investment.

Doubled each month
1. $20
2. $40
3. $80
4. $160
5. $320
6. $640
7. $1280
8. $2560
9. $5120

Referral earnings can just add to your amount of earnings here. BUT, one should share the "get in, get out" theory with their referrals. You don't want to lead them down a wrong path with this.
You should also join a surf very early in its life as they have a short lifespan. Do your homework.

Here are the two surfs I am currently involved in to test this theory.

12x12Wealth-Very new

MafiaTrafficPros-Very new

I started with 2 quite by accident. I will roll over $40 in one month to keep on track with the above mentioned strategy. Wouldn't want to get ahead. (:

Thoughts? Will it work? I think if I am fairly choosy and quick with my picks, it just might. We shall see. I'll keep you updated.

Buzz words!

Happy Saturday to all!

You guys know that I have been doing some experimenting with advertising. I will let you in on a little tip and see if you agree with what I found. Now, I view a ton of ads and I write a ton of ads. So as I am choosing which ones to actually view(get too many to view them all) I will tell you which ones I DO choose to open. First of all, I stay away from the ones that are just canned buzz words. You know the ones....Fire Your Boss, Retire in 6 months, blah blah blah. Titles like that do not tell me much. I am interested in ones that appear to have original content by the author and are genuine. The real key to a good title is one that appeals to the readers sense of curiosity. You really need to work on a good title or folks will not be tempted to click on the link in your ad. Today I will be sending some ads and experimenting with some titles. I'll let you know the results as this is probably the MOST important part of building a good ad. If you have thoughts or ideas, please share.

About AdVentures4U....is it going to make a comeback? The messages from Steve are confusing at best. I am still stunned that he choose to bring the program to its knees basically overnight. There were so many better ways he could have phased the new gold program in without casting doubt on the program credibility. Guess he did not ask me though. Too bad. I know many were hoping to make some decent money with this. Time will tell if he can bring it back with revenue from the gold site.

Off to do so work and look for new and exciting stuff.

Updates!

Boy, I have been really, really busy. My friend and I are still working on a Squidoo lens as a first attempt to do affiliate marketing. We did one other lens on Satelitte PC. That was a learning experience and it is easier this go around. Time will tell if this sort of venture will be profitable or not. So much to learn. Anyone have any tips? Of course the HUGE thing will be figuring out some good tags and key words in order to get ranked. Crazy stuff we do. But it is a bit of fun to learn new things. Hopefully some day I will have it all worked out!

Ok, update on two other things. Ad Flasher seems to be still doing ok. People are reporting that they are being paid. I surfed my ads for the first time yesterday. My balance is still pending, but I hear it takes about 36 hours. I'll keep ya posted. But, from what I read, this is working. Oh, they did have their PayPal shut down so you have to fund your ads with Alert Pay now. This could be a REALLY good one for some folks that need to make a little money if it can sustain. I know people are really hoping it will. Not sure I have the patience to click ads for an hour, but I can probably squeeze it in every other day or so. If you can get through 2 cycles a day, that is $30 a day guys. Times that x 30 days in a month, well you get the drift. Just do not get too carried away. Not sure how they can afford this, unless those advertisers are coughing up a bunch of $$. Good ads, by the way.
The other thing to update you on is my new matrix program, TWR. I am sure some of you are still amazed that I joined a matrix, but it just looks to be pretty darn good. It is still FREE to join and I am doing pretty well with it. Check out the product with this. Pretty awesome! We'll see how it goes when people have to cough up the bucks. (:

Double your $$ in one hour??

Boy, this time of year is hard on one. I heard of yet another cool site called AdFlasher. This one appears to be a pay-to-click of sorts. Looks very nice, but not sure how they can afford to double your money. There will be people on there all night long clicking away. I have seen reports that people are being paid, so it might be ok. They give you $1.50 to start. Then, if you choose, you buy an ad pack for $15.00. Once you complete the views, you have earned $30. Pretty awesome if they can sustain it. People will be joining by the droves. I joined, but have not had time to do much clicking yet, just a trial to see how it worked. Was pretty easy. Tomorrow night I will start doubling MY money. (:

Have a good one!

Happy Labor Day!

I enjoyed my Labor Day weekend by doing NOTHING. Well, actually, I was online practically non-stop. I did a few new things; would you like to hear about them? Sure you would, that is why you read this blog. (:

First thing, I am venturing out in to the world of affiliate marketing. Gasp. It is not as easy as one might think. No, I did not join some easy program to do it. My partner and I learned how to do google key word research and did it the old fashioned way. I have NO idea if this will work or not, but here is what we did. My partner, Sis(we call ourselves SisnSas) has a clickbank account. So we spent some time perusing the products listed and picked one we liked. There is some thought and research that goes in to that as well; variables etc...But, you need to pick something you want to talk about. THEN, you have to find a key phrase that fits the product and will get you indexed on a top page in Google. There is a ton to learn about that, but it is mostly right there on the Google search engine. THEN you need to make web pages or Squidoo lenses to show the product and write about it, putting the correct key phrases and tags in the script. This first attempt was pretty time consuming, especially for Sis. We probably should have picked the name ReadnRush as she is all about researching and I am all for the rush. Anyway, it is close to being done and quite the learning experience. Now to see if it works!

The second thing? You won't believe it. I actually found a matrix program I think might work. Yes, I know I swore off them....but I couldn't resist. Very clever the way the admin worked it. The payout on the first level is $15 per referral so you are at a break even from there. Nice. This will help with the pitfalls of people dropping out. It is a 2x8 matrix called TWR Power System. It's not open to advertise to the public yet. You guys aren't the public are ya? Hmmm. Anyway, cool little matrix that might just have the chance to succeed. Put a little work in to it and you are on your way. More on it later when it's legal. (:

Weekends are DANGEROUS!

Well, maybe dangerous is not the right term. BUT, I have time to explore the internet for new fun things. They sometimes get me in trouble or at the very least take away my focus. Hey, at least I am enjoying myself, right? Right. Ok, so here is my latest find...Desktop Lightning. It is a simple little download that allows you to send messages right to your group's desktop. No more fuss with emails, spam etc...It might end up being a pretty cool tool. I guess it does depend on how many folks you can get in your group. I am still experimenting. Not sure if you can add friends or if it is just a means of communicating with referrals. I'll keep prowling around the site and let you know. It is pretty keen though. Sure beats the heck out of messing with an auto-responder. Now if one could only plug names in it to communicate with, THAT would be nice.

Speaking of dangerous, I was approached by a shady character in the mall parking lot the other night. He poked his head in the window of my car and asked if I wanted to buy a gold chain. Being a curious sort, I questioned him about it. He freely confessed that it was stolen goods. I questioned yet further and he said his uncle works at a jewelry store and steals them. I feigned interest in the chain while trying to get some details. Finally, I tired of the whole thing and ran him off. I did think it amusing that he had no qualms on telling me it was stolen. Sheesh.

Happy Friday!

Once again, I am very happy that it is Friday. It has been an interesting week both online and offline. I'm still confused about what is going on with AdVentures4U. I am sure everyone is. Steve sure did not handle the situation very well. I guess I am in "wait and see" mode. It does appear that he will continue the site and share the gold site profits.

Revenue Share sites continue to pop up left and right. I have managed to resist all of them but one. I reviewed it after it was posted in my forum and really liked the site. After signing up, I found that the surf function is set to auto surf. That made me REALLY happy. I have enough manual sites to surf as it is. Anyway, looks good. Time will tell. If you want to check it out, it is called MyMarketShares.

Fall is supposed to be the busiest time for online marketing. I am betting we will see a ton of new stuff popping up. Try to resist joining them all. I know it can be hard to resist the hype, but look at your portfolio of programs and see where you stand. I think you will see that joining every new matrix that comes along is NOT the way to go. Be choosy. Yes, you need to diversify, but don't go crazy. You simply can not promote 40 programs effectively.

Ok, I'd better go catch up on some things I missed this week. Talk soon.

AdVentures4U confusion!

Well guys, I am as confused as everyone else with what is going on at AdVentures. If you missed it, the first update today indicated that the program was turning into just a traffic exchange with no Revenue Share. The others....well, the updates today were confusing to say the least. I mean, why would you write something before thinking it over? Boggles the mind. The latest updates contradict the first, so my plan is to wait and see.
I sure hope Steve can come up with a plan as so many people are really enjoying this business. But I will admit, I was once again getting those little "tingly" feelings about it. I was hoping it was just the move to a new script. BUT, the huge decrease in earning % this week brought panic to some folks. Even though Steve said he had a reason for it, it is hard to trust in this business. AND, should we really ask people to trust folks that they only know online? I mean you can build trust over time and through consistent good acts, but really trust? Hard question. I know that many, many people are probably really conflicted over what happened and my heart goes out to them. I can only hope they heeded the sage advice of investing only what you can afford to lose. I made profit here and will not complain about how Steve handled the business. Until today. He needs to realize he has thousands of people hanging on what he says. He needs to be clear and not ramble. I'm a pretty smart gal and I can not figure out what his intentions are. Sigh.

Moving on to another question...how will this affect other Revenue Share programs? These are the hot programs in our little crazy world right now. AdVentures was the model for many others to come. Any thoughts?

Is it Fall yet?

I am anxiously awaiting the fall season, it can't get here fast enough. First of all, it is beautiful during fall in Kansas. The temperatures are glorious, just a great time of year. Second, business picks up on the internet. I am ready for that too. I am also ready for all the technical problems to be over with. If it is not my program sites being down, it is the pay processors being down. Sort of puts a damper on keeping things moving. One of those glitches in the pay processors caused me to get 14 duplicate charges. Yes, you heard right...14. I was not happy when I logged into my STP account. I'm sure the program admin will make it right, but geez.

Ok, enough whining. I do like this new Sokule thing. It is a nice site. It is still in beta launch, so there are some bugs and also some areas they have not developed yet. But I think it will be a good thing. So far, pretty cool. There is also actual conversation going on there. Seems all I get on Twitter sometimes is people just throwing out pet phrases or inspirational sayings. I don't know about you, but that doesn't keep my attention for long.

Hey, anyone know much about dog psychology? My german shepherd is turning into a clingy pants. She has to lay on my feet, I have to force her to go outside and she follows me every where I go in the house. This is just a recent turn of events and I can't quite figure it out. It's not like she is starved for attention or anything. I had better go research that on the internet, find her a psychiatrist or something. Any ideas?

Sokule launches! The new and improved Twitter?

Cool! Jane Mark has launched her new social networking site similar to Twitter. You may join FREE or upgrade. It has an affiliate program where you can earn, although I am not sure how all that works yet. I'll need to spend some time later today exploring the site. In the meantime, grab a free account and explore yourself! It is meant for business folks, and that would be you, right?

Here is what Jane Mark says about it:

By now you know that Sokule is like
Twitter but monetized.

You know that he has an affiliate program
that is going to stuff your pockets with
that Green Spendin Stuff.

You know that when you post on Sokule
you will be posting on Twitter and
40 other social networking sites.

You know that can customize your profile
so that it shows off your own business
in just the way you want it to

You know that all of the useful Twitter
applications will be in one place and
that is in the members area of Sokule.

You know that you will be able to post
longer messages at Sokule depending on
your membership level

You know that you will have a Sokwal which

Time flies!

Wow, has it really been four days since I wrote? I received a note, wondering why I had not posted recently. Anyway, I am back with some updates. First, sad news. My regular surf has bitten the dust. I knew it would, but was hoping it would last a little longer. Looking back, there were some warning signs. There usually are.
On to happier topics....The Splash Page maker I spoke of earlier is working fine now. You really should check it out. It is super simple to make yourself a splash page with it. If I can do it, YOU can do it.

I need to talk about a new site that is coming out on Tuesday. It is called Sokule. Jane Mark is developing the site and as such, I am sure it will be a huge success. To summarize what sort of site it will be, let's simplify it and call it a monetized Twitter site. It will operate in a similar fashion and have an affiliate program with it. The target audience will be business folks. Sooo, sounds like it could be a good tool for internet marketers. It is free with some upgrade options. I'll post the link when I get it, which should be early Tuesday. I can't wait to see it! If the actual site lives up to the marketing I have seen thus far, it will be a awesome.

No other real program news to report. My passive sites are all paying and doing very well.

At least it's not a surf!

Well, I just had to join PacForAll yesterday. It's a 12%x12 day HYIP. I don't normally go for these, but at least I know the gals that run it. I expect it to do well. Another perk is no surfing. I have enough surfing to do!

Update on Splash Speaker. I had fun making some splash pages and it was easy to do. But for some reason NOW, every time I click on the link to open that site, it freezes my computer. I hope they get that fixed soon or maybe it is just me?? Sure liked it until that started. If you guys are not making splash pages to advertise your favorites, you need to start. If find myself much more apt to read a splash page than a regular business page while looking around. I imagine I am fairly typical.

Beware of September. I just bet there will be all sorts of NEW and HOT things put in front of you. Check em out first, don't get swept up in the heat of the moment. I know it can be hard to resist, but remember....the heat does not last long. Only join something if you think it has a viable product and can be built on steadily over time. Please. Learn from my mistakes. Yes, I still make them, but I am here to share. Take note.

Video Ads Board

I forgot to mention that I made a place in the forum for folks to post their video ads. Doesn't have to be restricted to ads, but it should be a personally made video with some relevance to internet marketing. You get the drift. Maybe if there is enough interest we can have one for just fun videos in general. We'll see how this goes first.

Off to make some more capture pages. I love my new toy.

Update on skype and more....

I have so many things to tell you!! I have been a busy bee. First off, I understand that skype is down. If you are an addict, you probably already noticed that. It is NOT you, it is a system problem of some kind. Boy I will be glad when they get it fixed.

On to better things. I made my very first video ad!! I was scared to death, but Scott, who is a new forum member, helped me a ton! It was very fun to learn something new. It's not the best video ever, but it is a start. Check it out HERE. Feel free to make a comment or two. I hear that video ads are extremely effective. We'll soon see. These are not terribly hard to do. If you have questions on it, give me a yell. This is something you need to do. Yea, I know. Change is difficult. But as fast as things evolve, we don't want to be left behind in the dust.

Next on the list, another cool tool. This one is called Splash Speaker. I received an ad for it and it made me curious. The ad talked about adding voice to your splash page and how much more effective that is in traffic exchanges. So, I signed up without really knowing what it was all about. Once on the site, I found that it has an easy system to create a pretty decent splash page. Having been sorely remiss in this area, I jumped on it. I have made one splash page thus far and am now working on getting it circulated in my exchanges and surfs. It also has an ad tracker, so I will know where I am getting my results. You can join FREE and check it out. Upgrading gets you a few more options which is what I did.

So, yes. I have been a busy gal. Enjoyed every minute of it!

Oh, hey. That new program, Unlimited Advertising? The admin paid a day early!! Me thinks this could develop into a good one. That was certainly a nice start to it. If you are curious, sign up for free and look around. It is a combination matrix and revenue share ad site. What I did was purchase the membership for $20. With that purchase I received some advertising tokens. I will earn on those as well by viewing other sites. This is still in it's infancy, it launches tomorrow. Check it out.

I think I need to rest now. (:

Feathers and such...

Oh boy. I have quite the mess. My feather comforter sprung a leak in the dryer. Have you ever noticed how hard it is to clean up feathers?? They are little devils to catch. Unfortunately, I also had some black socks in the dryer with my comforter. They aren't really black anymore. Tons of little bitty white feathers stuck to them. Rats.

In other news, I see people are in the usual frenzy over some new programs that came out last week. None of them grabbed me. I still like my Unlimited-Advertising, but am not heavily promoting it yet. The first payrun is tomorrow. I will be more apt to promote it after I know the Admin is good about paying. The rest of my passive programs are doing very well. A few bumps with the new AdVentures4U site, but they'll get there. Solid Trust Pay being down did not help anyone this week. All seems good now though. Seriously, if you are not looking at adding one of the popular Revenue Share sites to your portfolio, you really should. Hey, even my other "regular" surf, SurfOurColors, is doing well for me. It's hanging in there. The ratio of earnings vs deposits still looks ok, so maybe a few more weeks??

If you have anything good for me to look at, drop me a line. I am always happy to check new things out.

Catching up!

I have been out of town some this week and have a ton of catching up to do. Looks like everything is going well with my online passive programs. One of the new ones came out with a pre-launch special that I took advantage of. Still not sure how it all works, but it is looking more interesting all the time. You can join free and see if you like it. Looks to be a combination matrix and revenue share ad site. I managed to get in pretty early, but am really more interested in the revenue portion of the site. I'll keep you posted. For you matrix fans, you probably ought to jump in it quick if you are interested. You know how that goes. It's called Unlimited-Advertising. I suspect we will hear more on it in the future. It is a bit different than the others.

More later. I need to go play with the pups. They missed mom.

Have you ever wondered?

Ok, so I was reading through a few ads tonight. I hate to say how many I saw that said things like "Retire early by investing only $10" or "$3.00 leads to millions". Wow. Do people believe that stuff? Sadly, I am sure that people who are desperate probably allow themselves to hope it is true. Give me a realistic synopsis any day. The hype is just that, hype. Sure, there are some ways that $10 might ultimately lead to a decent income. Look at some of these passive programs. Many people started out with a small investment and are now doing ok. But it did not happen overnight like many of the ads imply. It takes time and a little effort. Anyway, enough of my soapbox. If you are wanting to learn how to market, please take care with what you say. Let's try and be a weensy bit realistic.
Speaking of ads, I sent a funny one out tonight for my forum. I'll let you know how that goes. Still experimenting with my solo ads.

Program Junkies!

Program Junkies....I love this. Wish I had thought to do it first. I just gotta find me a programmer.
Isn't it cute? Did ya click on the link? If you sign up here for FREE, they say they will be posting new, fresh programs here. They will also do a bit of due diligence before they post. This is from the owners of Revenue Magic. They also own the SuccessQuick program I am in. They are pretty clever folks. Now to see how good their information is. Nothing to lose by trying it out.

Some wins, some losses

My trip to the casino went about like it always does. I won a couple $100 then promptly spent it. Anyone else do that? I find myself doing that online too. I make money, then don't do the smart thing and send it to the bank. It becomes more like "virtual" money than real money. Learn from my mistakes....do NOT do that. Keep a little play money for sure. But always get some of it home to the bank account where it counts towards real bills. Got it?

Anyway, the casino was fun. I love to gamble. More importantly, I like to win. The friend I went with and I were talking on the drive home. We both agreed that while the money is nice, it is the thrill of hitting the jackpot that we are really there for. Sound familiar? I thought so. Save us from ourselves. (:

Ready for the weekend!

Anyone else glad it is almost the weekend? This has been an odd week online. Several of my absolute favorite programs were having trouble with their sites and that just seemed to set the tone for my week. Things appear to be back on track so I am betting next week will be a little more productive. I am not a big fan of being unproductive, but I guess we all get in slumps.

Nothing new to report. Still watching the program I talked about a few days ago....Unlimited-Advertising. Still sending out a variety of different ads on different programs. I am hoping to be able to talk intelligently on what types of ads work for what sorts of programs soon.

Went to Music Theater tonight. Cute show! And it was over at a decent hour. I was really happy about that! I am going to end my week at a casino. In light of my slump, this might not exactly be the best plan, but that is what is in the forecast for tomorrow night. I'll try to be prudent.

Revenue Share marries Matrix?

I've been looking at a site I found. The name of it is Unlimited-Advertising. It purports to be combination matrix, traffic exchange and revenue share. It looks interesting. It is free to join now as it is in pre-launch. The owner has some interesting ideas on how to keep people in the matrix by utilizing the profit share to pay until they are in profit. We'll see on this one. I don't know enough about the Admin to know if it will be good. But, it's free at the moment, so what the heck? And you know how I love these Revenue Share things. (:

PAC is back up, so I got to surf! Never thought I'd be happy about surfing, but I am. Guess what I really missed was being paid every day. Sure hope you are in this one!!

I'll have some stats on my advertising experiment later this week.

Diva

Sunday, August 2, 2009

Well Hell!

Here it is Sunday, I have a little time on my hands to surf and the PAC site is still down. I understand that gals are working on it but I did want to get that done for the day. The AdVentures4U site is still being worked on, but I did manage to get my surfing done there.

I added a new site under the Advertising link. It is a new traffic exchange called MyListFrog. Looks pretty nice. I see it advertised all over, so it may be a good place to get exposure for your favorite sites. I have not done a mailing yet with it, so I can't vouch for how user friendly it is. Oh, they do have a feature that allows you to "leap" over others with credits. That's different. Give it a try if you need a new place to get some free advertising.

I hear that summer time is slow for Internet Marketing. Sure seems pretty active to me. Lot's of new things out there. Sift through them carefully.

Instant Capture Page revisited.

Hey, remember the other day I was talking about that Instant Capture Page thing? I was pulling up some sites on Google about it, saw some samples of how it works. It is pretty cool. AND, I just got an email saying it now works with Twitter!! I am still just an affiliate, have not actually bought the package yet. But, someone DID buy the package using my link. I sure would like to hear from them on how it is working out. I am very curious how many people actually fill out the information. Now, if you are like me and want to start off being an affiliate, go for it. Free to join and you make $30 per sale. I will probably bite the bullet and actually buy this soon. Sure would like to hear from someone using it.

Gotta run.

Referral what?

I was reading another forum today. There were several folks on there talking about referral whores. I thought it was funny and then I really started thinking on the concept. I think there is a HUGE difference in advertising JUST so you get referrals and advertising because you believe that what you are advertising can actually help people earn. Take a matrix program...you get in, think it is pretty keen and has a viable product. Well, naturally you are going to want to advertise it. Do you have a plan in place to help those that come in after you or are you just getting them in to have referrals and help yourself?

Of course to qualify as a genuine, fully vested, lifetime warranty, no money back referral whore, you must consistently advertise programs with little value and with no regard to your referrals. YIKES. It's hard to move past that mentality, especially when you join one of the FUN programs. You know? The ones with very little product value and a short shelf life. Generally speaking, the FUN ones I join are part of a teambuild. That can at least assist folks with earning money. Even then, you gotta watch what team you join up with. Some RW's love to start teambuild after teambuild. Watch it. Not to say that all FUN ones are worthless either. Some DO offer a decent product and...well...they are fun and low stress. As long as you realize you are not going to make a fortune with them. No matter what the ads say. (:

Suffice to say, I am watching things more closely these days. Thus the reason I promote passive programs more often than not. I DO believe in those because they are working for me. For now. I have no crystal ball, so I don't know what the future brings for any of them. I just keep truckin' and learnin'. Just like you.

So glad it is Friday!!

Hurray! I am ready for the weekend. I have plans to be out late tonight having fun, but tomorrow? Back to work.

I have a little confession to make. I did upgrade in that new Revenue Share site called MoonDanceTraffic. Just a teensy little upgrade...I promise. I know, one more thing to surf every day. But geez, these are all working out so well it is hard to resist. I WILL say, that my favorites remain AdVentures4U and PAC. AdVentures4U is working on a new site, so I have a bit of a surf holiday there. If these guys can keep hanging in there, I will swear off of all FUN programs. You don't believe me I can tell. Well, I may be crazy, but I know when you find something that works, you stick with it. Maybe just a few fun programs mixed in?

Ok, so if I have finally convinced you to try some of the Revenue Share Ad programs, perhaps you are wondering how to make the best of them. As I mentioned, you don't need to refer to earn with these. You also do not have to be "at the top". What you DO have to do is surf your sites each day and upgrade to a level you are comfortable with. I would also strongly suggest writing some ads and sending them out via your favorite safe list. It doesn't hurt to gain some referrals, it is just extra income for you. It's also a way to help your program of choice grow. One thing to look at before joining at too high a level is the plan of the Company to have revenue outside of new member joins. This is important for the longevity of the program. AdVentures4U is working towards that very thing by adding a new program to the mix. I hope it is successful as this has been a very lucrative venture for many people. PAC appears to have plans also, more on that to come.

I have a new affiliate site that I need to look in to. I joined as a requirement for one of my private investment programs. I hear that it has good potential. I'll let you know what I discover.

Gotta run!

Instant Capture Page??

While perusing a forum today, I found something called Instant Capture Page. This looks nifty, but before I plop down some money on it, I am wondering if anyone has tried it? I joined as an affiliate to look at the back office. Looks ok, but as I am somewhat technically challenged, I am wondering how difficult this is to do. If it works as advertised might be ok. Check it out, watch the video. Tell me what you think. It might annoy people.

Almost upgraded in another Revenue Share site today. Then I had a talk with myself. I already have some really good ones, no sense in getting too many. Hard to keep up with, ya know? I did join for free and will keep an eye on it. If it looks good, I will let you know. If you want to check it out and let ME know, it is called MoonDanceTraffic. The Admins are supposed to be some of the senior members over a TeamOrangeMoon. I think I recognized one of their names. Might be a good one.

What trips your trigger?

I'll tell you what trips mine, since you asked. These passive revenue share programs. I can't quite get over how well they are all doing. If you are not at least dabbling in them, you are really missing out. I can't tell you how much money I have spent on the FUN programs, only to see them dwindle away. True, they ARE more fun, BUT! Thus far, my passive programs keep hanging in there. AdVentures4U has been around almost a year now. Even if it slows down, I will still have done well as have countless others. Another favorite is PremiumAdsClub Revenue Share. I think these gals have it figured out and it just started. If you haven't yet taken the plunge on this type of internet business, I would strongly suggest it. You don't need to recruit although it helps, you see results on a weekly basis and it takes very little effort. All my favorites are listed on the side. Give them a look. These types of programs are terrific for every type of marketer, new and seasoned.

So, it was Monday. I'm glad it is over. Came home to find my dog with another spider trap stuck to her. This trap was well hidden too. That dang dog. It wasn't so easy to remove this time as it was on her side and pretty well embedded in her hair. Had a couple of spiders on it too. EEOOWW. What a way to end the day.

Call me CRAZY!

Ok, I went and joined one of those OTHER fun types of surfs. My id # is 11, so I figure I got in early enough. It is run by a known MMG supporter, so it might just be good. I know, I am crazy just like everybody else. Never said I wasn't. I like these little surfs, just wish they would last longer. It is called SurfOurColors. Kinda cute. They have a couple of plans to choose from. I choose the daily pay one. We'll see how it shakes out. Ought to be good for a time anyway.

Most of the forums are up now and I have taken the guest restriction off of mine. I hope things stay normal, whatever normal in this internet world is. I hear that the ASA forum has been down for several days. I am wondering what is up with that. They were having some internal problems before it went down. Maybe it is gone for good? Some of these marketing forums get pretty nasty at times. We've been really lucky at the Diva forum. Nice members, great mods. No one puts up with rudeness. Life's just too short, ya know?

Back to work.

Update!

Looks like some of the forums are slowly coming back to life. MMG was up for a bit, now down again. DTM is back up. Wonder what is going on? At least my little corner of the world remains safe.

Nothing new to report. I've being working ads all day. I'm doing a bit of experimenting to see which ads track the best and for what sort of business. If I learn anything earth shattering, I will share. I get a ton of requests from forum members wondering what to say in ads. As you may have noticed, I like to talk. So writing ads is not all that difficult for me. BUT, I have not done a real good job tracking which ones work well. Time to change that and share what I learn.

Back to work....

Attack on moneymaking forums!

Well heck. I made the rounds this morning to find many of the major marketing forums shut down. Firefox would not even let me in MMG, one of the larger ones, saying it was a known hack site. Sheesh. I visited several other of my favorites and found them missing completely. These hackers are something else. I mean they gotta be smart, right? I sure would not know how to hack a site. Crossing fingers that my forum will not get hit as well. We're a new forum compared to the others, so maybe we are not showing up on "hacker radar" yet. Not sure what it is they hope to gain from this sort of activity. Can anyone enlighten me?

I've been looking for a cheap little program to do some advertising experiments with. I found one that offers chocolate receipees as the product. Only $5.00. I'm going to push it out with my safelists and see what happens. It's perfect for what I want to try. I'll let you know how it goes. This is the link if you are curious and/or happen to love chocolate!

Dogs and Spider traps do NOT mix!

Ok, this is what happened. I had to travel for business this week. As I have two very spoiled dogs, they got to go to their little doggie hotel. They LOVE going there. A little too much as they get pretty hysterical when I pull out the leashes. This day was no different. My girl dog was leaping and running around in dog circles. The boy dog was getting whipped into a frenzy as well. Sooo, in the midst of all the frantic display, Cagney manages to latch on to a spider trap I had laid out. You know.. the VERY sticky things that trap insects, spiders and such? This particular one is pretty large, about a foot long. As Cagney goes running out the front door I notice it stuck on her tail. She leaps into my SUV oblivious to the entire disaster. Once inside, she then steps on it as well. Now we have a real problem. Visualize a german shepherd with a footlong spider trap stuck on her tail and now her own foot stuck on it as well. Sigh. What a way to start the week.

No real business news to report. My passive programs are all still doing well. Haven't seen any new "fun" types that got me going. Probably just as well.

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

YIKES!

I got an email from a hacker who apparently hacked into the Gold Nuggest Invest site. Don't people have better things to do with their talent?? Crazy. If you are a member of GNI and worried, here is the response from the admin:

GNI Newsletter July 21, 2009

You may have received a malicious spam email in the last couple of hours, claiming to be from a team acting against spreading of various Ponzi schemes. They state that they used the vulnerability of mysql and broke into our database.

They are also reporting that they haven't found any trading activity with our script - what is by the way true, since the script is nothing more than a front end for our members and us as well, to manage and calculate your funds . Furthermore they are warning that our website will be closed in the near future, if not by us, by the senders group. And of course the obvious bla bla that you should withdraw you funds with us - and surprise surprise, they added three email addresses you may contact to receive information where to invest you money safely Smiley

This is the really important fact of this SPAM email - thats what it is!

It tells us that the only intention of the sender is to disturb our operation and to grab you intention to another investment program, which is for sure a PONZI scheme, since no serious entity is using the means of SPAM to get your intention.

GNI is operating for almost three years, is as you know a legally registered corporation and has proven over the time again and again that we are a serious and reliable second income opportunity.

There is absolutely no need to panic and nothing and NOBODY will shut us down, not as long as I am in charge of this operation. Since we went public last year we have been attacked, threatened and blackmailed on a weekly base. The last email we've received last Friday and the blackmailer tried to extort $20,000 from us. Most probably the email you have received is a result of this extortioner.

This is the downside of such an operation! Our only aim is and was to generate a second income for you, our trusted members and thus offering us an business opportunity to support our families as well. As you all know, we are working hard to achieve this goal and have always sorted out any obstacles along the way. And so we will do again - today as well as tomorrow!

We are currently investigating how this SPAMMER got access to our database and assure you that we will take all necessary steps to protect our members privacy and integrity, what unfortunately is not a simple task, in times where even government databases get compromised. We can however confirm that the database has not been altered.

I don't want to hide the fact that quite some of our esteemed members panicked and requested a withdrawal of their principal, as a result of this SPAM email, what is understandable, since you don't know what is going on. We have decided to sent all withdrawal requests back to our members account balances, giving you the opportunity to reconsider if you like to stay with us - or not, now where I got the chance to address this issue. If you still decide to withdraw your principle, please request it again and note that it might take up to 7 days to process principal withdrawal requests, depending on the availability of funds in our payment processor accounts. This is according to our TOS. We will process withdrawals again in the evening hours today (GMT timezone).

Finally let me express my warmest gratefulness to those member who expressed their support of GNI and are believing in our project. I have received many encouraging emails from trusted members. THANK YOU ALL!

With best regards,
Robert and TEAM

Happy Sunday!

Another beautiful day here! I really am going to try and play outside a bit. I promised the dogs a game of fetch, so I will try and pull myself away from the computer. Speaking of, I heard a cute saying the other day. It went something like this: "If your house is clean, the computer must have crashed". Boy is that ever the truth around MY house.

I try to make it a point to discover something new every day. Today's discovery was a site that makes Twitter buttons! I was pretty excited as I needed one. Need your own button? Click HERE. Not on Twitter yet? Tsk.

Oh, another new Revenue Share hit the streets. It's called YesICanShare. Only 15 members when I joined, so VERY fresh. Nice site. I haven't upgraded yet. At this rate, I will have to hire someone to do my surfing for me. ):

My Day so far....

Ok, so I did not get around to spending much time outside. I was busy experimenting. You may have noticed a new bar when you logged into the blog. If it annoys you, close it. Not sure if I will keep it or not, but it seems like a good way to bring attention to something special. If you like it, click on the leadsleap link and you can get one for your blog or website. It was very easy to do. I also thought about putting the bar on my forum, but I chickened out. Not sure if it would be a big hit there or not. When I tried it, my computer froze, so I deleted it. Could have been a coincidence, not sure. Let me know what you think about this bar thing, ok?

The other thing I did today was add a new passive income program to my portfolio. I think I am really going to like this one. One of the administrators is a member of my forum. Knowing who you are dealing with is always a good thing in my book. Her name is Kazzy and she is a nice gal. Works hard too. Check this new Revenue Share Ad program out HERE. I swear this is the last one I join. Surfing 4 Revenue Share sites is getting old. BUT, they are all making me money so I guess I should just suck it up and quit complaining. If you are not yet in one of these passive income programs, you ought to consider it. Each one I have listed is doing quite well for me and I think you would be pleased. Of course I can not predict the future, but if past performance is any indication, these will continue to do well.

No new fun programs to mention. I hear that Iggly has a new programmer. I sure hope they get it all figured out.

Yippee!!

I sure am glad it is the weekend. The weather here is glorious so I plan on spending some of today outside. Have tons to do online as well. My Twitter experiment is going a little too well. I have a bunch of catching up on followers to do. My next experiment with it will be to see how many of my followers click on this blog when I put the link in a post. That ought to be interesting!

Ok, I'll be back later. I'm off in search of interesting news.

Good news and bad news..

Well, remember how I tried some new things over the weekend? One of them was taking surveys. Guess what? The survey companies do not like me. Oh I got surveys sent to me, but I kept getting the message that I do not qualify for this or that particular survey after filling out a few snippets. There must be something wrong with me. ): BUT, I refuse to give up. I will fill these things out until I drop. Surely someone wants my opinion?? I guess it's too early to make a firm decision that these are not my cup of tea. But....

The Twitter app I mentioned? The one MaryAnne Myers developed....it is going much better for me. My mailbox is flooded with new followers. By the time I can actually follow someone back, it will take me days to catch up. I guess that's a good thing. Now I need to get some time to actually communicate on Twitter. I guess if people follow me they expect me to say something noteworthy now and again, eh?

One other tidbit. List Joe is offering a July special. If you are in need of a good safe list, this is one of the best. They are offering 2,000 credits to new members for the rest of the month. Jump on it and get some good free advertising! Click here to learn more: List Joe.

Life and Slippery Chickens

The following is a true story.

So I was walking through the grocery store, doing my weekly shopping. I spy the roast chickens. You know..the ones the stores cook and sell. Very yummy. It is a whole chicken and they are packaged in a bag. I pick one out and begin to carry it to my cart that was several feet away. Ok, so I must not have had a good grip on it because the chicken goes shooting out the open end of the bag. It flew out of my hands, landed on the floor and skidded another several feet. It left a glorious streak of grease in its wake. Everyone stares. Most people laugh. It was kinda embarrassing. Then what to do? Well, I picked the chicken, now no longer in very good shape, and stuff it back into the bag. I took it to the checkout stand and calmly explained that they had a grease problem on aisle 21.

So you are probably wondering why I am talking about my chicken incident. Well, it dawns on me that it sort of relates to life and even the business opportunities we talk about here. How? Well, sometimes in spite of our best efforts, things just slip away from us. We either lose our grip or things just don't work out as planned. I guess the key factor then is how we react to the chicken incidents in our life. Give up? Work smarter? Jump off a cliff? I hope we can talk here about ways to work smarter as I am not the giving up sort of gal. I try to talk about things that work for ME and hope that you will feel free to do the same. Trial and error is ok, but hearing about other folk's experience speeds up the learning curve. Got it?

Something Old turns New!

Another Monday is over! And it is beastly hot again. Am I complaining? Well, yes, I guess I am. But, there is a lot to celebrate as well. Life is good.

Some business news to talk about.
I was pleasantly surprised to see what AdGateWorld did with the revamping of their program. They are now following the AdVentures4U Revenue Sharing model which I do well with. I am excited to add them to my list of passive programs. Their site is beautiful! So far I am pretty impressed. If you want to check it out, click HERE. Still liking Gold Nuggest Invest as well. They are a new addition to my passive programs. Again, so far so good. I am more and more liking these passive ventures. If you pick the right ones, you can really earn the bucks! Just be careful. I am not talking the 12% daily surf programs. We all know how those end up. Do I occassionally join one? Yep. Why? Because I am crazy too.

Time to take the pups out to play. Be back later.

Trying New Things!

Are you open to trying new stuff? I believe if you are committed to making money online you need to be. Things change FAST in this business. There are constantly better ways developed to communicate and build your business. Change is hard for some folks, but it is a necessary evil. If you are one of those stuffy, non-flexible types, get over it or get left behind. (:

Ok, so here are some new things I tried over the weekend. Are you familiar with MaryAnne Myers? If not, you probably should be. She has a ton of safe list programs and I join every new one she puts out. So I get this email from her...she has put together a site to get Twitter followers called TweetersOnline. I thought it ironic since that was my topic of conversation yesterday. Anyway, I click on the link and sign up. It's pretty cute. I am getting some followers with it and I need them. I can't follow folks until my followers catch up. (yes, I got carried away following too many cool people). If you are trying Twitter for the first time, check it out HERE. It might help you get started. Fun.

My second new thing to try was survey sites. Do you know what those are? Basically you sign up, fill out a ton of information on your habits, lifestyle etc...You then may receive surveys from advertisers and earn $$ for filling them out. Now, I am not sure I will like doing surveys, but I thought I would check it out so I can speak about it intelligently. I have a good pal who does these religiously and makes good money. She gave me some of her very favorite survey sites to start with. I suffered through filling out my information, it was tedious to say the
least and I am not the most patient sort. She promises it will be worth it. I'll keep you informed on my progress.

It's still hot here. VERY hot. I am ready for fall. Wonder what the new week will bring......

Let's Talk Twitter!

So what about social networking sites? The only one I frequent on a regular basis is Twitter. If you are not familiar with it, you MIGHT just need to get out more. Here is a description from the web:
Twitter is a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time.
How does it work? You can sign up for a free account and post short phrases on what you are doing at the moment. You can search for interesting people to follow. Once you are following them, you will receive their updates via your Twitter feed. You in turn, will receive followers. This happens easily and will very little effort on your part. For more info on what it is about, click HERE.

There is a ton of material out there about this particular platform as it is extremely popular for all types of people. Let's assume that I am talking to folks that mostly want to utilize this tool for network marketing. In most of the social networking sites, the key is to sell yourself before the product. Many folks will un-follow people on Twitter if all they do is advertise their programs. The key is to learn to communicate with your followers and build a relationship. Is this easy? Well...for some it appears to be. I personally find it difficult to keep my phrases to the allowed number of letters. But then I am a wordy sort of person, thus the reason I would rather blog. I watch the dialogue going alot, but do not often post. When I do post, I find that I get a ton of clicks if there is a link within my post. So, yea. Twitter folks are responsive and curious. As I am a curious sort also, it is a good fit for me.

People use Twitter for a variety of purposes. Some networkers have an account just to keep their "list" immediately informed on new items. Others use it primarily to promote their business, their blog and their websites. Still more use it to interact with people of common interest. You can find discussions on most any topic that interests you by doing a search. It's really a marvelous way to keep in touch with the world and I heartily recommend you try it out. Just remember to talk to people, not just constantly blast them with ads.

You can follow me on Twitter if you wish. I follow some pretty entertaining people which you can find by clicking on my followers. You follow them, they follow you back. That's how it works. Pretty nifty.

I'm getting ready to do a Twitter experiment. I'll let you know how it goes.

It's So Hot....

I saw two trees fighting over a dog. Yep, it's true. 102 degree temperatures will do that. My plan is to stay indoors and do some online work. There's plenty for me to catch up on, so might as well try to stay cool today.

I wanted to talk a bit more about advertising. In addition to the previously discussed platforms, there are a variety of programs that offer banner, text and solo ads. I have joined several of these, both for the matrix income and the advertising benefits. Do they work? Well, some better than others. The cool thing is you can usually see which of your ads are being clicked on. That gives you a quick idea of how effective they are. You can also be pretty sure that you are presenting to an audience open to new business opportunities. So you may get some signups from this, what you do with them is another topic for another post.

Another thing that determines my success rate with this advertising platform is the type of program I am advertising. Say for example I advertise my forum, I usually get excellent results. Of course that is free to join and is an advertising method within itself. If I advertise my passive programs, I get so-so results. If I advertise my FUN programs, I get a mixed bag. Some of it depends on market saturation with the program presented. All in all, these ad programs can be great. It takes some experimentation with your ad. If you are advertising a more serious program for example, I would not just slap a banner up. This would be the type of program you might want to explain in a solo or text ad. Tell folks how joining with YOU is the way to go. Got it?

TGIF

Boy am I glad it is Friday. It was a very long week.

So what's new? I've seen a variety of programs being promoted this week, but none really reached out and grabbed me. Right now I am sticking with what I got. It had better be good for me to venture out of my zone, ya know? I have enough to do without taking on every new thing that pops up. If you are reading this and are one of those FUN people, enjoy. I just don't have time. Not only that, I haven't seen many that work for any length of time. People are in a frenzy for about 1.5 weeks then the interest levels out. Not the programs fault, it is the mentality that we get with FUN folks. Yes, I have been guilty too, just sayin....

Ok, it's Friday. As such, I deserve a beer. I am off to get just that. I'll be back tomorrow.

More Bang for your Buck

I will make an assumption that if you are reading this blog, you are at least somewhat interested in making money online. So let's talk advertising. I mean, you DO know you have to advertise right? There is NO ONE going to find your program and YOU if you don't. So, where to start? Some people just throw their program opportunities in some traffic exchanges and surfs and think they have done their part. Huh? While that is certainly something I do, I have learned not to expect too much. Your splash page had really better be cool to attract someone's attention in an exchange/surf.

Uhoh. So where does that leave us? Well, there are safe lists. Some people are timid about using those because they have to write ads. But it's really sort of fun to experiment with what works and what does not. I use a variety of safelists. My favorite, ListJoe is on the sidebar. I need to pick a few more good ones to list. Again, even with safelists, you need to have a great title to get someone's attention. Practise, play. It's fun. Really.

Another great way to get your favorite program out there is forum posting. Unless you are quick, you are likely not going to be the one to first post it. But, you can add comments to the post, engage in conversation and develop a reputation. Put your favorite businesses in your signature and you will be suprised at the referrals that pop up. Oh, and don't forget putting your banner in forums. It can be very expensive to do that in larger forums, but I do get results from this sort of advertising.

More advertising venues to come later. If you have some thoughts on it, drop me a line.

It's Music Theater night. Kiss Me Kate. I hear it is good and I'm looking forward to it.

Happy Windshield Guys!

Wow did we ever get a storm here last night!! The hail was incredible. It looked like globs of ice on the streets, some reported to be baseball size. The dogs were not real thrilled with the noise....guess I wasn't either, truth be told. Had to turn the computer off, so I didn't get to work much. Did I miss anything?

The sign of a good business opportunity!

If you are like me, you get a ton of ads for various business opportunities in your email box. One item I find interesting of late is all the knock off program for AdVentures4U. One of the major established surf programs is even revamping to emulate their revenue share system. I recently joined one of those, Global Revenue Share. To me, this tells the tale of how successful Adventures has been and continues to be. What is the saying? Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Can the new knockoffs hold their own with Adventures? My advice, they had better do more than just copy the script. Much of the success here is the Admin himself. He is big on communicating and problem solving. He also strives to develop other income for the program. Gotta have that to keep it stable. Anyway, thought it was interesting.

The Deserted Island Theory?

I have this way of categorizing people I am acquainted with. Yeah, I know. Probably not real nice of me, but I do it. Surely most of you have some sort of system, right? Ok, so here it is.

Picture this: You are shipwrecked but manage to cling to a large piece of drift wood and make it to a deserted island. Over the course of time, others make their way to YOUR island. Out of that group, I generally find people to be a.) someone who needs to just stay on the other side of the island b.) someone who I wouldn't mind sharing the occasional seaweed sandwich with, mostly because it gets lonely on the island and c.) someone I would be willing to share my grass hut with. Make sense? Now you might not have this particular categorization model for interpersonal relationships, but I bet you have some sort of system.
Why am I talking about this? I think it is interesting to analyze what sort of person I relegate to these different categories. And what to do about them. After all, we share ONE island. Personally, my OSOTI guys are usually folks with a negative energy. I find that hard to tolerate. They find fault with everything and are usually bad for business. I can spot them a mile away and that's where they need to stay. The SEAWEED guys... they are normally fun folks, great in small doses and ok to work with. Now the HUT guys, these are people who are smart, motivated, positive, energizing and always interesting to be around. Terrific people to build a business with, talk to and all sorts of things one might do in a hut. Get my drift? All three types live on my island, but only certain ones will make it to my hut. The opportunity lies in recognizing those people and surrounding yourself with them.

No real business news to report. I did get paid by AdVentures4U. That was nice.

Anyone have anything interesting to share?

Reporting in!

Well, it was Monday all day long here, you know what I mean?

So why is everyone so quiet? I guess I need to say something outlandish to prompt some comments. I'll think on it.

I did come home to some good news! I received three new referrals in Ad-Ventures4U. Gosh, this is a nice business for me. I hope the new guys upgrade and make some bucks. This is just the easiest, nicest program I have seen. Sure hope it lasts a long time.
Speaking of Ad-Ventures, I recently joined a knock-off that runs off a similar script. It is called Global Revenue Share. So far, so good. Don't know if it will be as successful as AdVentures, hope so.

As for the FUN programs, I see my advertisements over at The Advertising Gold Mine are getting some hits. Couple of them visited the blog from my text ad and one joined my forum. I like what I see in terms of a responsive product. Probably worth the price for that alone.

No sign of the kitty today. I hope that's good news.

I'm off in quest of some tantalizing tidbits to post.

Cool Tool!!

Ha! I made a poem. Ok, I am easily amused. But I did find an interesting tool for bloggers. This site is a link manager. In English, what is does is show you where your visitors are coming from by their site name or domain. This from their site:

Referrer lists are a way to provide automatic links back to those who link to you. Webmasters know the main focus of hosting sites (other than writing of course) is to get traffic. What good is it if you are the only one reading your website? One of the best ways to get traffic is by linking to other sites, and getting reciprocal links (referrers) back from them. With E-referrer it's all done on in one fell swoop. Our script monitors visitors are they come to your website. If they've come in from a link on another site, it registers the referral and posts it back on the same page. This is very important because users will see their own referral while they're on the website! It's all done in real-time!

Take a peek at it if you are building a blog. I find it pretty darn nifty. Click HERE for the site link.

I think I am glad tomorrow is Monday. I need to go back to my offline job and get some rest.

Later....

A New Day! A New Week!

Ah, it's Sunday. The start of a new week. I wonder what adventures will come my way THIS week? There is always something new. Like this blog. I am still researching ways to make my blog a fun place to visit. Lot's of information out there on the subject. My eyes are tired and I could really use a cosmo. But... too much work to do. I'll be sure and post any helpful blogging sites I find!

I think it is time to advertise my blog. Maybe I can get some helpful hints from the readers. Hint, hint. Hey, remember I told you about The Advertising Gold Mine? Well, I just got word that my ads there are working! The forum just got a new member as a result of an ad placed there. I'm pretty excited about that. I think I will advertise my blog there now. Cool stuff!

Ok, time to work. Be back later.

Fireworks!

Ok, it's about time to go watch some fireworks. First I need to Twitter something. It's been awhile. I can't follow anyone as I hit some magic number. So I got depressed. I have scores of folks following me every day and I can't follow them back. Not sure I get that. Maybe I had better get over being sad about it and investigate. I've got to be careful leaving the house too. If that kitten is lurking...well, you know. I'll be stuck.

A beer is out there with my name on it. Later...

Have a terrific evening!

Happy 4th of July!!

To the U.S. readers, have a TERRIFIC Independence Day. Time for some barbecue, beer and fireworks. Good stuff.

A couple of things, the 7DayWealth program looks to be a scam. Or at least it is associated with a known scammer. I don't know too much about the guy, so won't say any more on the subject. Join at your own risk.

Everything else is going well. My passive programs keep paying and the FUN ones are not doing so bad either. Of course, all the fun ones are starting to look alike. Ever notice how these things go in cycles? 2x2 programs are all the rage now. Next month, who knows? I do have a NEW passive one to talk about later.

Guess what? The kitten was back today. A girl knocked on my door with him in her arms. She wanted to know if he was mine. Grrrr. I will NOT take this cutie pie, I WON'T.

Be back soon.

Friday, July 3, 2009

MEOW!

Today is a holiday from work for me, so I figured I would sleep in a bit. Wrong. I woke to hear a very loud mewing noise coming from outside. This of course alerted my two dogs as well. So, here I am, trying to sleep with two large dogs tromping all over me, trying to get to the window and check out the kitty noise. I gave up and figured to investigate it myself. I go outside and it appeared to be coming from my car. I looked inside, looked under it, nothing. Finally, this loud mouthed adorable kitten comes popping out from somewhere on top of one of the tires. Too cute. But now what? I walk the neighborhood with the cutie in my arms. He finally ran off when I put him down. I hope that means he recognized his home. I do NOT need a cat.

So, found something interesting on the net. It claims to be a passive income maker. I signed up for free and looked around. Still not sure how it works but people appear to be signing up in droves. Looks to be an Investment club with a matrix and it's called 7DayWealth. Anyone heard of it? Inquiring minds want to know.

More later.

Thursday, July 2, 2009

Well Hell!

I'm back. The week has been busy. Now look...here is the dilemma. I had a really good time with two new programs. I cycled in both. They are FUN programs. Made me a few bucks. There was a ton of hype in the forums, lots of ads in my inbox. BUT, that being said, I made a couple of hundred in my "passive" programs. So, do I want to make money or do I want to have fun? I want both actually. Where does that leave me? Use the funds I make with my passive programs to fund the FUN ones? Maybe. Is that the smart thing to do?

Now, I mentioned the hotel manager in one of my posts. I gotta hand it to this guy. He knows how to keep people coming back to his business. What can WE, as internet marketers learn from HIM? Well, we make people feel welcome in our platforms, whatever they are. Forums, blogs, email advertising....Make someone feel special and they will keep coming back. I go out of my way to stay at his hotel. What can YOU do to make people go out of there way to come back to YOU? The hotel thing... simple. After a long day, I walk in and he offers me a beer, his dog is waiting to greet me. He also provides the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Soooo, product and the personal touch. What do YOU offer people? What do I offer people? Interesting question. Let's figure it out. Talk to me.

Diva

New stuff

Hey, hey...I figured out how to put a background on my blog. I'm pretty excited about that. There is a really cool blog site that offers free designs. For anyone interested in starting a blog but nervous about making it look nifty, here is the link to that blog:

Cutest blog on the block!

Changed the name of my blog too. Nothing like a work in progress.....

So, how was your week? Mine was busy with online and offline work. Joined a new program amidst all the other stuff going on. This one is called The Advertising Gold Mine. Pretty keen I think. You can send a solo ad out every 48 hours, put your favorite banner on the site and more. They also guarantee they will place members in your matrix. Not sure how that will pan out, but for the price, I was willing to find out. It is similar to SuccessQuik which I joined last week. Both these guys give me some great places to advertise. Success Quik is part of Revenue Magic. I am impressed with the way they run their programs and suspect it will be a long lasting source of advertising and hopefully a little cash. Fun stuff!

Be back later.

Wild, Wild West

I am going to Dodge City, Kansas today. Yep, home of Wyatt Earp. Smells like feed lots. I do stay in a very nice hotel there. The owner is a terrific guy who bring his dog to work with him every day. Dog's name is Wyatt. Imagine that. What makes this hotel so terrific? Well, the owner takes time to greet his guests. He talks to them. He also personally trains his staff to run the business like he wants. We could learn some things from this guy. More on that later.
Anyway, the only problem I have with this hotel is my internet service. Many times my laptop does not work there. So, if you don't see me later, you know why.

It's Monday!!

I've now had a blog for three days. I still have no idea what I am doing. I guess it will take a while to figure it all out. I'm not really a patient sort, I want to know it all NOW.

Anyone want to talk about passive income programs as a business opportunity? I do. I am more and more liking these as a decent way to make money. Of course, it is not nearly as FUN and thus will not appeal to the afore mentioned types of online marketers. I've got one that is REALLY working well for me. Just joined another. You can see them listed on the right. Both these pups have good reputations. As I just joined GNI, I can't say that I have made money yet, but I anticipate it from all I've heard. I hope to find some other stable ones as well. I know, I know...hard to really know that.
So why don't more people join these? Probably because they have been burned in the past from various hyips and surfs. Gotta pick carefully and invest prudently. As for them being passive? Well, they can be if you want. But referral money is certainly a nice perk in these programs. Here is what I suggest: Give a small spend in some of the well thought of "passive" programs. Then go about promoting them through various safe lists and traffic programs. Post in forums about the program. Make absolutely SURE that you have your signature set up in the forums you visit. People who are impressed with what you say will be curious about the businesses you are in.
Do NOT go crazy with these types of programs. You need to invest wisely. Listen to what your fellow marketers have to say. You will learn a ton and soon be an expert yourself. Getting your seed money out as soon as possible is always smart too. Doesn't hurt quite so bad if the business goes under that way.

Ok, I am off and running. Lot's to do today.

Chris

A Quiet Sunday!

OK, I'm back. Did my nails, cleaned house a bit. Now if I can get my finger unstuck from the keyboard(yes, nail glue), I should try and post something profound. Spent some of the day online looking around. And of course reviewing forum posts. I have come to the conclusion, it is not the programs that fail, it is the marketer. I mean, what's the program owner going to do when the money stops coming in?? People are quick to scream scam when a program ceases to be productive. WOW. And there are some pretty cool opportunities out there. See, I think I am proving my original theory. The magic is gone, the adrenaline rush is over. POOF.

So what's the answer? I dunno. I come up with it, I will surely pass it along. As long as we are in it to have fun! Thoughts? Rants? Anyone figure out why this blog is titled Fortune Cookies? Eh?

Anyone looking at The Advertising Gold Mine? Due to launch here soon. I imagine it will join my fun program list.

In other news, I bought a new Janet Evanovich book today. Can't wait to get started on it. Her books keep me laughing out loud. Gotta laugh. It's good for the soul.

Another day, another post

Ok, so.I read my first post over. Sounds pretty cynical, huh? There ARE people who want to make serious money online. I know that, you know that. I mean, who wouldn't? I just think there are also those who enjoy the game part even more than the money part. They got to, or they would do it differently. Much differently. I've got a couple of programs that make me consistent money. I also have some just fun ones. Sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss. Still fun though....I guess everyone has to look within themselves and determine why it is that they do this. Do you really want to make money? Or are you just waiting for that one great time you get in at the top and reap the temporary rewards? If that's your aim, good luck. You gotta know the right people. If you really DO want to make money, put some thought into it and post here. Let's see what shakes out.

So, I guess when you blog, you need to have something clever to say every day. That may be a problem. On the best of days, I get about one bright idea out. I'll probably need to come back later as I have nothing insightful to say yet.

Saturday, June 27, 2009

First post

Well hell. Everyone keeps telling me I should create a blog. I like to talk, so maybe they have a point. What to talk about is another story. Many things interest me, but hey, I think I'll start out with one about online money making. Anyone know what that is? I am a marketing forum owner, so I sure see a lot of people who THINK they know what that is. Sad thing is, most people are just spinning their wheels. I've been there, YOU"VE been there. BUT, I think I have it figured out. Most of the people I see aren't so much focused on actually making money...they want to win, they want the adreneline rush of a new launch, they love the excitement. It's all I can figure...because the minute the rush is over, they move on. So maybe this blog will be about the pathology of marketing. Hey, I'm guilty of it. Let's face it, it's FUN! So maybe we just acknowledge the things we love about this business and forget the money. Sure, it's a nice perk. It's also how you determine if you won or not. So, I think I'll call my little blog the Fortune Cookie. It fits in my mind. Let me know if you figure out why!
